Regatta RC™

Crew & Team Management

Crew & Team Management

Before Regatta RC, managing crew meant juggling spreadsheets, group texts, and email threads that never quite reached everyone. The Wednesday night regulars lived in one list; the Saturday regatta crew in another. When the Race Committee cancelled a race, you hoped someone would forward the notice—and that they had the right list. Skippers and R.C. officers spent more time chasing down phone numbers than preparing for the next start.

Regatta RC introduces the Sailing Vessel (SV)—a specific boat configuration for a specific event or series. The same physical boat can have multiple SVs. Your Wednesday night crew is associated with one SV; your Saturday regatta crew is linked to a different SV of the same boat. Each SV has its own roster, so you never mix crews or send the wrong message to the wrong people. One boat, multiple configurations, one place to manage them all.

Text and email the crew for a specific SV directly from the app. In User Settings > Notifications, you choose how you want to receive alerts—by email, by text (SMS), or both. When the Race Committee cancels a Wednesday race? One click and the entire crew for that event is made aware. No more chasing down phone numbers or hoping someone forwards the email chain. The R.C. posts the update; Regatta RC delivers it to every sailor on that SV's roster.

Restrict critical edits to authorized owners and keep roster data consistent across views. Skippers control who can edit their boat's crew list; Race Committee officers can dispatch updates to entire fleets without leaving the scoring screen. Crew & Team Management is built into the RRC Platform so everyone coordinates from one place. From registration to race day, your crew data stays organized and accessible—no spreadsheets, no forwarded threads, no wrong list.
